Evergreen Marine Corporation is a prominent Taiwanese container shipping company, established in 1968. It operates a vast fleet of container ships, including some of the world's largest vessels. In 2021, Evergreen's ship, the Ever Given, gained international attention when it became lodged in the Suez Canal, disrupting global trade for six days. More recently, in March 2022, another Evergreen vessel, the Ever Forward, ran aground in the Chesapeake Bay, highlighting the challenges faced in modern maritime navigation. Despite these incidents, Evergreen continues to be a key player in international shipping, offering extensive services across major global trade routes.
